2024 Lexus RX vs 2024 Lexus TX

Serving Willoughby Hills, OH

The Lexus RX is a solid pick for luxury-minded crossover SUV shoppers, and the all-new Lexus TX joins this popular model. The RX is the smaller of these models, with two rows. The TX has three rows and shows off other standout traits to explore and enjoy. Before buying your next luxury crossover SUV, what should you know about the 2024 RX and the TX?

Performance

Both models are offered in gas, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid powertrains. The RX options start with a turbocharged 2.4-liter, four-cylinder gas engine producing 275 horsepower. The hybrid system is a 246-horsepower, 2.5-liter, four-cylinder unit. An alternative hybrid system is the 366-horsepower, turbo 2.4-liter V6. The PHEV boasts 304 horsepower with an all-electric range of 37 miles. The 2024 TX has the same gas and hybrid powertrain options but is unavailable as a PHEV.

Appearance

From a design perspective, the Lexus RX and TX are easy to tell apart on the road. The RX is defined by a rolling profile with a strongly tapered rear. Across the sides, lower-body contouring swells above the rear haunches. At the front, the LED headlights and the lower fascia have arrow-like accents. These combine with the drop-down, A-shaped grille for a sharp look. The 2024 Lexus TX shows off a taller roofline with gentle raking at the rear. The sides are smooth except for deep lower-body accents. At the front, the TX has a modernized, monochromatic version of Lexus’s signature grille design. The air intakes are accented with upper and lower chrome bars, and the LED accents above the lights connect above the grille.

Features

Numerous features are shared between these models, including traffic jam assist, leather upholstery, a 21-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, an automated parking system, a 14-inch touch display screen, a surround-view camera, a panoramic sunroof, a digital rear mirror, a hands-free liftgate, blind-spot monitoring, forward collision detection with mitigation and others. The TX adds a head-up display, a larger digital driver’s instrument panel, second-row captain’s chairs, and more.
